Pram urges his subordinates to boost economic growth in line with the President's target

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has ordered his entire apparatus to accelerate Jakarta’s economic growth to eight per cent, in line with the instructions from President Prabowo Subianto.

“As conveyed by the President regarding the year 2027, with a target economic growth of eight per cent up to 2029, the Jakarta Provincial Government must prepare for this to achieve the President’s directives,” Pramono stated at City Hall in Jakarta on Thursday.

The man familiarly known as Pram also acknowledged that the current conditions are indeed not easy to achieve that target, especially with the numerous challenges facing the Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI Jakarta).

Nevertheless, Pramono continues to encourage his subordinates to meet the target set by the central government.

“The Jakarta Provincial Government must follow the directives from the central government, so we are preparing forward steps on what will be done by the Jakarta Provincial Government in 2027,” Pramono explained.

Those challenges include the conflict occurring between the United States, Israel, and Iran.

Pramono mentioned that up to now, his side has not yet found a meeting point regarding what will happen and the resolution of that conflict.

That situation, he said, will affect fuel oil (BBM) prices, revenues, and various other issues.

“Therefore, the Jakarta Provincial Government must take short-term steps to address that,” Pramono revealed.
