Pram reminds PPSU to work professionally, not just to please superiors
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo has reminded Public Facilities and Infrastructure Handling Officers (PPSU) to work professionally in the field and not just to please their superiors. “I ask that there should be no more just pleasing the leadership, but real work in the field,” said Pramono after the townhall meeting with PPSU and Jakarta Provincial Government officials at Taman Ismail Marzuki on Wednesday. The event was attended not only by PPSU but also by sub-district heads, district heads, regents, mayors, and other regional apparatus officials. Pram, his familiar nickname, said the event was primarily held to improve PPSU performance in Jakarta. He hopes that incidents of falsifying follow-up actions on complaints in JAKI using artificial intelligence (AI)-generated photos will not happen again. “After we delved into various issues, including those in Kalisari, it truly tarnishes Jakarta’s face. And as Governor, I do not want it to happen again; there is no room for it to be repeated,” Pramono emphasised. To that end, Pramono requested that in the future, the complaint system and governance in JAKI be improved to be more transparent and properly followed up. According to Pramono, all input, opinions, suggestions, and criticism from Jakarta residents serve as capital for the Jakarta Provincial Government to improve itself. On that occasion, besides giving directions, Pramono also conveyed appreciation to the attending officials. “I also give appreciation; in this one year, actually all indicators have become better, including the most important ones such as the global city index, the safest city, transportation infrastructure, and so on,” said Pramono.
