Pram Optimistic Economic Turnover During JRF 2026 Will Exceed Rp150 Billion

Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo is optimistic that the economic turnover in the capital during the MyBCA Jakarta Running Festival (JRF), scheduled for 24-25 October 2026, will reach more than Rp150 billion.

During a press conference for JRF 2026 at Balai Agung, Jakarta City Hall, on Wednesday (30/9), the Chairman of the Indonesian Athletics Association (PB PASI), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, predicted that the economic circulation in Jakarta during the event could reach Rp150 billion.

“As we know, JRF lasts for two days, and simultaneously, there is a concert by Ye. I believe that what Mr Luhut has stated is a prediction that, in my view, will exceed Rp150 billion,” Pramono stated at City Hall, Jakarta, on Thursday.

He noted that this trend was evident during The Weeknd’s concert in Jakarta as well as the recent Pestapora festival. Consequently, Pram expressed confidence that the economic turnover during the JRF 2026 event could surpass the Rp150 billion mark.

Furthermore, he mentioned that 50 per cent of the audience for the Ye concert is expected to come from abroad, as Jakarta is the only stop for the concert within the Southeast Asian region.

Pramono also noted that hotels around the event area are already fully booked.

“I have received reports. Almost all hotels along the running route are already sold out, including many hotels on the outskirts. As long as there is transportation, because they have heard about the event, from Kelapa Gading to PIK 2 and PIK 1, almost all hotels currently available have been booked for the Jakarta Running Festival and the Ye concert,” Pramono explained.
