Prajogo's shares still targeted by foreign selling
Sajam Prajogo’s shares continue to be targeted by foreign selling. Foreign investors remained active in selling down a number of big-cap stocks even as the market posted an overall net buy in the regular market on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. According to exchange data, PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) recorded the largest foreign net sell at Rp375.8 billion. It was followed by PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) with Rp221 billion and PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) with Rp140.5 billion. Foreign selling also persisted in conglomerate and telecommunications stocks such as PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN), PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA), and PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM). However, foreigners actually entered energy- and downstream-themed stocks such as ENRG, MBMA, BRMS, and INDY. Meanwhile, the IHSG moved like a roller-coaster in yesterday’s session. After fluctuating intraday, the IHSG closed down 0.82% at 6,318.50. A total of 483 stocks fell, 208 rose, and 126 did not move. Trading volume reached 41.13 billion shares, with a value of Rp 22.36 trillion and a frequency of 2.47 million trades. Earlier, ahead of President Prabowo Subianto’s address at the House of Representatives, the IHSG briefly reversed higher, gaining about 1% to 6,430.97 after starting in the red. The market responded negatively to Prabowo’s speech announcing a single-window export policy for Indonesia’s strategic natural resources, including coal and palm oil. Before being trimmed significantly in the first session, the IHSG had fallen almost 2.5% after Prabowo announced the establishment of a state-owned export agency. The majority of sectors were weaker, with infrastructure and raw materials dragging on sentiment, while technology and financials were among the gainers.
