Prajogo Pangestu Family Sells Rp1.58 Trillion in BREN Shares
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia — The shareholder of PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), Green Era Energy Pte Ltd, has conducted a share sale transaction worth Rp1.58 trillion. This action follows the company’s inclusion on the high shareholder concentration list (HSC). The sale involved offloading 350 million shares on the market. According to the disclosure, the transaction occurred on 6 April 2026 at an execution price of Rp4,510 per share. “The purpose of this transaction is to increase the free float portion and share liquidity in the market,” as quoted from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) disclosure on Monday (6/4/2026). Before the transaction, Green Era Energy Pte Ltd controlled 30.67 billion shares, equivalent to 22.9271% of the total outstanding shares. After the transaction, its ownership decreased to 30.32 billion shares. For information, Green Era Energy is a company owned by Prajogo Pangestu’s daughter, Nancy Pangestu. Since the beginning of this year, Green Era has conducted several divestments of BREN shares. Previously, BREN was known to be one of the shares with high concentrated ownership or HSC. Simply put, shares on the HSC list are those held by the same people or parties, not owned by many investors like ordinary shares. This data can be used as an early warning for investors in making investment decisions, without disrupting the ongoing market mechanism. The HSC data is compiled based on the methodology for determining high concentrated share ownership, covering shares in both certificate and uncertificated forms, as of 31 March 2026. Based on the published data, there are nine issuers with ownership concentration levels above 95%. The top position is held by PT Rockfields Properti Indonesia Tbk (ROCK) with an ownership level of 99.85%, followed by PT Ifishdeco Tbk (IFSH) at 99.77% and PT Satria Mega Kencana Tbk (SOTS) at 98.35%.
