Prajogo Pangestu Acquires Logistics Cargo Company
Jakarta – The listed company owned by tycoon Prajogo Pangestu, PT Chandra Daya Investasi Tbk (CDIA), has acquired 57.5% of the shares in PT ELPI Trans Cargo from PT Pelayaran Nasional Ekalya Purnamasari Tbk (ELPI) on 8 May 2026. The acquisition was carried out by CDIA through its subsidiary, PT Chandra Shipping International.
“On 8 May 2026, the company transferred 17,250 shares of ELPI Trans Cargo to Chandra Shipping International, with a total nominal value of the transferred shares amounting to Rp17.25 billion,” said ELPI Corporate Secretary Wawan Heri Purnomo in his official report to the stock exchange authority on Monday (11/5/2026).
With the execution of the transaction, Wawan continued, control over ELPI Trans Cargo (ETC) has been transferred to Chandra Shipping International. As a result, ELPI Trans Cargo is no longer a consolidated subsidiary of Pelayaran Ekalya effective from 8 May 2026.
Wawan stated that the sale of the stake in ELPI Trans Cargo will provide support for the continuity of ETC’s business, particularly in developing its operations in the offshore services sector.
