Pradi Supriatna: Unity, Action, and Impact as Concrete Manifestations of Pancasila Values
BANDUNG — The commemoration of Pancasila’s Birthday on 1 June is a crucial moment to reaffirm national commitment amid the nation’s various challenges. West Java DPRD member Pradi Supriatna emphasised that Pancasila’s values must be actively upheld through tangible actions that directly benefit the public.
He stated that Pancasila is not only the foundation of the state but also a guide for building harmonious, just, and prosperous national life. Therefore, all national elements must adopt Pancasila’s values as the basis for every development step.
‘The commemoration of Pancasila’s Birthday must serve as a moment to strengthen unity, foster mutual cooperation, and deliver tangible benefits for the public. Pancasila must be alive in actions, not just speeches and slogans,’ Pradi told Republika on Monday, 1 June 2026.
The Gerindra Party politician explained that unity is the key asset in preserving national solidarity, while tangible actions are needed to address societal issues. Ultimately, all efforts must yield positive impacts felt by the people.
‘This nation is built on the spirit of unity. When we stand united, act together, and work for the people’s interests, the outcomes will contribute to national progress and public welfare,’ he said.
Pradi noted that amid rapid information technology developments, the public must be more discerning in handling circulating information. He stressed the importance of maintaining harmony, prioritising dialogue, and avoiding actions that could incite division.
He said the spirit of diversity, integral to Pancasila’s lofty values, must be nurtured as Indonesia’s strength. Ethnic, religious, cultural, and political differences must not undermine national unity.
‘Pancasila teaches us to respect differences and prioritise national interests over personal or group interests. These values must be passed on to future generations,’ he added.
Pradi also urged the public to view Pancasila’s Birthday as a moment for collective reflection that successful development is measured not only by physical achievements but also by strong unity and social justice for all Indonesians.
‘Pancasila’s spirit must continue to fuel Indonesia’s development. By remaining united, taking action, and producing impactful work, we can realise the nation’s aspirations as mandated by the founders,’ he concluded.
