BANYUMAS - President Prabowo Subianto has stated that his government is committed to addressing waste problems to restore Indonesia’s beauty. Prabowo highlighted that waste management is crucial to support quality of life and tourism in Indonesia. During his visit to the Integrated Waste Processing Facility (TPST) BLE Banyumas on Tuesday (28/4/2026), Prabowo conveyed his appreciation for the waste management facilities at the TPST. “We from the central government will promote it and I will allocate assistance to develop, improve, and expand it,” Prabowo said in a KompasTV broadcast on Tuesday (28/4/2026). Prabowo stressed that waste management facilities are important for environmental cleanliness and supporting the tourism sector. “We will restore Indonesia to become a truly beautiful Indonesia, where tourism thrives and we live comfortably,” said Prabowo. During the visit to TPST BLE Banyumas, Prabowo inspected processed waste products guided by staff. Prabowo observed and handled plastic waste processed products such as roof tiles to paving blocks. He also listened to the waste processing flow and system operated at TPST BLE Banyumas. Besides plastic processed products, TPST BLE Banyumas also processes organic waste into products like pellets and maggots for animal feed. Prabowo’s visit to Banyumas was accompanied by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Environment Minister Jumhur Hidayat, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Deputy Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Hanif Faisol Nurofiq.
