Prabowo's Volunteer Coordinator Appointed as Pertamina Retail Commissioner
The name Ginka Febriyanti Br Ginting, Coordinator of the National Objective Strategy Intellectual Front (BISON), has recently been widely reported after appearing on the board of commissioners of PT Pertamina Retail, a subsidiary of PT Pertamina. She has drawn attention due to her young age and her leadership of BISON, a volunteer organisation for the campaign team of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka. Ginka’s appointment was actually made last year. “Serving as Commissioner of PT Pertamina Retail based on a Circular Shareholders’ decision of PT Pertamina Retail issued on 21 November 2025,” according to the Board of Commissioners profile of Pertamina Retail. Currently, three people serve on the board of commissioners of the company, which is part of the Subholding of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga. The three are Lia Itok Garbianto, Devi Taurisa, and Ginka. According to Pertamina Retail’s official website, Ginka is an Indonesian citizen domiciled in Jakarta. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Management from Esa Unggul University. It is also stated that she is a young figure active in various youth, community, and social organisations, with a strong interest in governance development, leadership, and strategic contributions to organisations. At the time of her appointment, Ginka was still serving as the chair of the youth organisation, as revealed by a post on the Instagram account @bison_indonesia on 29 October 2025. The post congratulated Ginka on her new mandate as Commissioner of Pertamina Retail. Recent BISON posts also still include Ginka’s name as the chair of the youth organisation. Pertamina Retail is a subsidiary of Pertamina Patra Niaga in the retail sector, specifically in fuel distribution at petrol stations and the management, development, and marketing of fuel and non-fuel products. Ginka’s appointment has raised questions because she is the chair of a campaign volunteer group. Ginka was also previously implicated in allegations of paid protests on 25 August 2025. The Fact-Finding Commission found strong indications of paid masses in the August 2025 demonstrations. “Were there paid masses? Yes. There were admissions from paid masses led by an organisation called the National Objective Strategy Intellectual Front or BISON,” said Muhammad Isnur, Chair of the Indonesian Legal Aid Foundation, at the Indonesia Corruption Watch office in South Jakarta. Tempo has attempted to confirm the capacity and mechanism of Ginka’s appointment as commissioner with the Corporate Secretary of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Roberth MV Dumatubun, but no response has been received at the time of writing.
