Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Prabowo Subianto has issued Presidential Decree (Keppres) No. 4 of 2026 on the Task Force for Accelerating Government Programmes to Support Economic Growth Improvement. The task of this task force is intended to promote economic growth enhancement.

“The task of the Task Force is to accelerate economic growth programmes, such as economic packages, economic stimuli, government priority programmes, and main programmes of several Ministries/Institutions based on the directives of the President. With strategic and integrated steps, monitoring and evaluation are also conducted, as well as breakthroughs to take quick and strategic actions,” stated Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto in a press statement following the First Meeting (Kick-Off) of the Task Force for Accelerating Government Programmes to Support Economic Growth Improvement (P3-MPPE) at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy office, Tuesday (28/04).

In its implementation, Airlangga revealed that the P3-MPPE Task Force will be divided into five working groups (POKJA), namely POKJA I concerning the Formulation of Economic Growth Enhancement Strategies, POKJA II concerning the Acceleration of Programme Implementation and Resolution of Programme Bottlenecks (Debottlenecking), POKJA III concerning Regulatory Support, Institutional Affairs and Law Enforcement, POKJA IV concerning Trade, Economic Cooperation and International Relations, and POKJA V concerning Monitoring and Evaluation of Programmes and Budgets.

In this first meeting, the Task Force discussed strategic issues that directly impact national economic growth. Incentives for LPG, primarily for the petrochemical industry, in the form of a reduction in import duties on LPG imports to 0%, as an alternative raw material substitute for naphtha which is currently facing supply limitations due to global dynamics, including the conflict in the Strait of Hormuz.

In addition, he said, incentives are also provided for plastic raw materials in the form of a reduction in import duties on plastic raw material imports to 0%, for a temporary period of 6 months.

Furthermore, the Government will carry out import licensing reforms through simplification and increased transparency of the import process, including adjustments to regulations related to technical considerations (Pertek) by the Ministry of Industry and policy revisions by the Ministry of Trade, as well as a review of the application of SNI, particularly regarding transparency in certification service processes, so that applicants can know the service progress in SIINas, and the implementation of a more measurable Service Level Agreement (SLA) at the conformity assessment stage to improve certainty aspects and apply Fictive Positive.

“Then, for basic licensing of PBG and SLF, building approval and functionality certificate, this from the Ministry of Public Works will standardise costs and simultaneously provide conveniences, especially for MSMEs and for government priority programmes. Regarding land licensing, this provides conveniences for handling Spatial Utilisation Activity Suitability (KKPR) and Digital Detailed Spatial Plan (RDTR) to be integrated into OSS,” concluded Airlangga.

Also present on the occasion were, among others, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM Rosan Perkasa Roeslani, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana, Minister of Manpower Yassierli, Minister of Creative Economy/Head of Creative Economy Agency Teuku Riefky Harsya, Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Minister of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI)/Head of Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency Mukhtarudin, Deputy Minister of Finance Juda Agung, Deputy Minister of Cooperatives Farida Farichah, Deputy Minister of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Helvi Yuni Moraza, and several representatives of Ministries/Institutions that are members of the P3-MPPE Task Force.
