Cabinet Secretary Lt Col Teddy Indra Wijaya revealed that President Prabowo Subianto has secured investments worth Rp2.43 trillion. Teddy stated that this investment figure resulted from President Prabowo’s frequent overseas trips over the past 1.5 years.

“The total investments over the past 1.5 years amount to approximately Rp2.43 trillion, according to BKPM data. For instance, last month, President Prabowo visited Japan and South Korea, after which investments of around Rp575 trillion were secured,” Teddy said in a video statement on Monday (1 June 2026).

Teddy denied that the overseas visits were merely for show or ceremonial actions by Prabowo.

“What are the benefits? Currently, amid global conflicts and crises, the country’s stability is assured. Fuel stocks are secure, subsidised fuel prices have not increased, and food supplies are stable,” he said.

“Moreover, the EU has implemented 0% tariffs across 25 countries. This agreement, which had been negotiated for over a decade, was finally achieved during President Prabowo’s term, specifically last year in 2025,” Teddy added.

Teddy claimed Indonesia now possesses strong defence equipment from multiple countries, including France, the United States, Russia, China, the United Kingdom, and others.

“Saudi Arabia has also amended its laws to permit nations to secure land there for Hajj pilgrims,” Teddy added.
