Prabowo's Open House: Nastar Packages and Visits from Jokowi and SBY
President Prabowo Subianto held an open house, or “gelar griya,” to celebrate Eid al-Fitr on Saturday, 21 March 2026. The Gerindra Party chairman opened the Presidential Palace to the public until the afternoon. Earlier, Prabowo performed Eid prayers in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh.
During the open house, Prabowo was accompanied by his son, Ragowo Hediprasetyo, commonly known as Didit Prabowo. Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the halal bihalal event was organised to allow the President to meet with the public. “The Palace is open to the people, with food and entertainment provided,” Teddy said in Jakarta on Friday, 20 March 2026.
- Guest Quota of 5,000 People
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said that 5,000 seats were prepared for members of the public wishing to visit the State Palace. The Ministry of State Secretariat also set up tents outside the Palace in case of overcrowding. To host thousands of guests, the President and his team served foods such as ketupat.

Bambang, an online motorcycle taxi driver who attended Prabowo’s open house, received a gift package from the Palace. According to him, the package placed in a blue bag contained various items. “There was an umbrella, a bottle, and nastar biscuits,” he said on Saturday, 21 March 2026.

In addition to receiving goods and food, Bambang obtained an envelope containing Rp 200,000 in cash. The Mangga Besar resident in Jakarta also sampled and packed several dishes. - Not All Visitors Could Enter
One visitor named Gilang recounted that he could not enter the open house venue at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta. Despite queuing since 12:30 WIB, he said.
Although he failed to enter, Gilang said he received a basic necessities package. It contained condensed milk, a box of biscuits, coffee, a bottle of soy sauce, chilli sauce, cereal drink, 5 kilograms of rice, and an umbrella. “I happened to be sitting at the bus stop earlier and was informed by someone. Rather than doing nothing, it’s better to queue at the Palace,” said the Cempaka Putih resident in Central Jakarta.

Former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono visited Prabowo at the State Palace. The sixth President of Indonesia brought his child, son-in-law, and grandchildren. Yudhoyono was received by the Head of State after the halal bihalal event with the public.

The seventh President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, also attended Prabowo’s open house. Jokowi arrived with Iriana, Kaesang Pangarep, and his wife Erina Gudono. Gibran was not seen when Jokowi visited Prabowo. The Vice President was observed accompanying Prabowo in welcoming the Yudhoyono family.
