President Prabowo Subianto attended the peak event of the 79th National Cooperative Day (Harkopnas) at the Indonesia Arena, Gelora Bung Karno (GBK), Jakarta. In his speech, Prabowo remarked that Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono had cleverly chosen a date associated with the number eight. “This is a coincidence, I asked Pak Ferry. He planned this. He chose the date. He chose the day. But I see, this number is interesting, I didn’t arrange it,” Prabowo said during his speech at the Indonesia Arena, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (12/7/2026).

Prabowo noted that the peak commemoration of the 79th Harkopnas fell on the 12th day of the 7th month (July) in 2026. He then calculated the combination of these numbers, which resulted in the number eight, a figure he identifies with as the 8th President of Indonesia. “This is the 79th Cooperative Day, right. 7 plus 9 is 16. 1 plus 6 is 7. 2026, that’s 10. 7 plus 10 is 17. 1 plus 7 is 8,” he explained.

According to him, this numerical coincidence signified a good day. He even claimed he had no hand in arranging the event’s calendar to produce the number eight. “So indeed, this is a good day. I didn’t arrange it. Wherever I appear, the number eight shows up, I don’t understand it. It means there are signs. That’s why I didn’t dare not attend,” he revealed.

On this occasion, Prabowo also extended his greetings for the anniversary of the Indonesian cooperative movement and encouraged cooperative members. “Believe in your leaders! Believe in your government! Unite all elements for the people, for the nation. Do not be provoked! Do not be controlled by extreme groups or other nations! Indonesia is strong! Indonesia is great! Indonesia is advanced! Indonesia will rise as a great nation,” Prabowo asserted.
