Prabowo's Message to Students: Do Not Slander Others
President Prabowo Subianto has urged students of community schools to uphold the values of brotherhood and respect for others. For Prabowo, an attitude of mutual respect and living in harmony serves as a vital foundation for achieving success.
Prabowo expressed this during a visit to Sekolah Rakyat Menengah Pertama (SRMP) 17 Tabanan, Bali, on Sunday, 7 June 2026. “Never, ever badmouth others. Do not hate others. That is it. Live well, live in harmony. That is the key to success,” Prabowo stated, as quoted from a live broadcast on the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel.
Addressing the students, teachers, educators, and parents in attendance, the Head of State reminded them that education and discipline are necessary to secure a better life. Prabowo noted that students represent the hope of their respective families.
“You must eventually uplift your parents; you are your parents’ hope. Study, study, study well. Respect your teachers, love your parents. Always be harmonious with your friends, always be kind to others, and maintain your manners,” said the former Minister of Defence.
He stated that economic difficulties are not an obstacle to success. According to Prabsmowo, many successful individuals in Indonesia were born into families with limited economic means, yet they were able to persevere and change their destinies.
