Prabowo's Message on Mudik Lebaran: Prioritise Road Safety

Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto has called for safety to be prioritised during the 2026 Lebaran mudik season.

“Prioritise road safety and prepare all aspects thoroughly,” said Prabowo during a Cabinet session at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday, 13 March 2026.

Prabowo urged all ministries and government agencies to conduct thorough preparations ahead of the Lebaran holiday mudik period.

Regarding Lebaran preparations, Prabowo specifically instructed Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi to ensure that ticket discount policies are implemented as effectively as possible.

“Including discounts on aircraft, railway and maritime tickets, as well as toll road fares, and ensuring good service at every location,” he said.

The Head of State also requested that service quality be improved at rest areas, ports, airports and stations.

“Ensure there are no uncontrolled queues. Maintain continuous stability in fuel availability, electricity supply and internet connectivity,” he stated.

“This is the second Lebaran of our administration. Food Minister, Trade Minister and Agriculture Minister, ensure food supplies remain stable and safe and that we can maintain prices,” he added.
