We have no doubts and we are not afraid.

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has emphasised that any acts of intimidation or obstruction of the work of the Forest Area Control Task Force (Satgas PKH) by certain parties amount to an indirect impediment to the Head of State.

“If anyone threatens members of Satgas PKH, they are threatening the President of the Republic of Indonesia. If anyone obstructs the work of Satgas PKH, they are obstructing the work of the President of the Republic of Indonesia,” President Prabowo stated firmly in his speech at the handover ceremony for state financial recovery results at the Attorney General’s Office Building in Jakarta on Friday.

The President said he had received reports of task force members facing pressure and intimidation while carrying out their duties in the field.

Given the vast physical area that needs to be audited, Prabowo highly appreciated the courage of the officers working to save the nation’s wealth.

He also assured that he would not hesitate to use all constitutional powers inherent in his position to protect the officers and uphold the law without favouritism.

Prabowo further highlighted the existence of rogue business figures who, for years, have ignored court decisions and continued illegal activities in forest areas.

Therefore, the President ordered the Attorney General to take firm action against such practices.

“If they refuse to cooperate, prosecute them. We have no doubts and we are not afraid,” he said.

Rp371.1 trillion

On that occasion, the President outlined the successes of Satgas PKH, which, since its formation through Presidential Regulation No. 5 of 2025, has demonstrated significant performance.

In addition, the task force has successfully regained control of state assets in forest areas valued at an estimated Rp370 trillion, equivalent to nearly 10 percent of Indonesia’s total state budget.

Satgas PKH has even officially handed over funds amounting to Rp11.4 trillion to the state treasury as proceeds from administrative fines, tax receipts, and state financial recoveries from corruption crimes in the early 2026 period.

This symbolic handover of assets was carried out by the Attorney General to the Minister of Finance, witnessed directly by President Prabowo Subianto at the Attorney General’s Office Building.

The funds encompass various state revenue instruments, ranging from forestry and environmental fines to tax payments from corporations involved in forest area arrangements.
