NTVNews.id, Jakarta - The Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, Rosan Roeslani, conveyed President Prabowo Subianto’s directives regarding investment management in Indonesia. He explained that the President emphasised the importance of incoming investments providing tangible impacts in the form of job openings domestically.
“The message from him is, of course, that the incoming investments, as I mentioned earlier, must also foster good, proper, and quality job creation. That is the directive from the President,” said Rosan after attending a meeting with the President at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday, 21 April 2026.
Rosan added that this effort is a key priority and needs to be accelerated. Furthermore, the President also reminded that there should be no regulations that hinder the entry of investments.
“Do not let our regulations become obstacles. Our rules that obstruct. Those instructions also, according to the President, if they hinder, they are unnecessary,” he stated.
“This is the direction from the President,” Rosan continued.
On that occasion, Rosan also reported the achievements of investment realisation in the first quarter of 2026, which successfully exceeded the target. He mentioned that the investment value reached Rp498.79 trillion or 100.36% of the Rp497 trillion target, with a growth of 7.22% compared to the same period the previous year.
In addition, the employment sector also showed improvement, with workforce absorption reaching 706,569 people or growing by 18.93% annually.
“And that achievement for Indonesian workers reached 706,569 people or 18.93% year-on-year,” he said.
