Prabowo's Directive to KSP to Check Loopholes for Potential Corruption in MBG Programme
President Prabowo Subianto has ordered the Head of the Presidential Staff Office, Dudung Abdurachman, to check for potential corruption loopholes in the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. One such loophole is the alleged buying and selling of service points for nutritional fulfilment (SPPG) or MBG kitchens.
“There are many loopholes, many loopholes. One of them, I received information about the buying and selling of points. Yes, that’s one of them. Later, I will look into that buying and selling of points,” said Dudung at the Bina Graha building in Central Jakarta on Tuesday (5/5/2026).
Dudung declined to explain other loopholes that could lead to inequalities. He assured that he would check directly in the field to examine existing potential inequalities, including those related to food.
“Ah, later, there are many, I won’t reveal them all here,” he said.
“Later, we will find some. So, for example, if food is found that leads to poisoning, quality issues, and so on, I will check directly in the field,” Dudung continued.
Kitchens Stopped Operations but Still Receive Incentives
Dudung will also examine reports regarding SPPG that have been closed but incentives continue smoothly. This refers to data from the Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Dadan Hindayana, which revealed that 1,720 SPPG across Indonesia have been temporarily suspended. Thousands of MBG kitchens continue to receive incentives of Rp 6 million per day despite their operations being halted.
“Ah, that’s exactly what I will check. Already suspended but incentives are still flowing smoothly, even the investors are still receiving them. That’s how it is,” he said.
Prabowo’s Directive
Furthermore, Dudung revealed President Prabowo’s directive to examine loopholes for potential inequalities in national priority programmes. In follow-up, his office will coordinate with relevant stakeholders to strengthen collaboration.
“Yes, the President directed me, ‘Mr Dudung, please check it.’ Because this national priority programme is one of the flagship priorities of the President, one of which is MBG, then the Red and White Cooperative, and we will check that. So, I will reactivate collaboration with relevant stakeholders,” he said.
“Pray for me. Later, if I find something, I will immediately reveal it to the journalists. Just report who the perpetrators are, who is not right. Because this is public money, the public must know,” Dudung added.
