Prabowo's 9 Strategic Projects for 2027, MBG-National Car Development
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The initial draft of the Government Work Plan (RKP) for 2027, prepared by the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN)/Bappenas, has established a series of Strategic National Projects (PSN) directly directed by President Prabowo Subianto.
These PSN directly overseen by the head of state are termed Presidential Directive PSN and form part of three main PSN groups, consisting of Presidential Directive PSN, New Proposal PSN, and Continuing PSN.
“Presidential Directive PSN are strategic projects established directly by the President based on urgency, strategic impact, and the need to accelerate the implementation of national priority agendas,” quoted from the 2027 RKP document, Friday (8/5/2026).
The list of Presidential Directive PSN is as follows:
PSN Free Nutritious Meals;
PSN Merah Putih Village/Ward Cooperatives;
PSN People’s Schools;
PSN Affirmative Business Cards;
PSN Welfare Cards;
PSN Education Digitalisation;
PSN Integrated Waste Management;
PSN Strengthening Governance and Palm Oil Agribusiness Ecosystem; and
PSN National Car Development.
These Presidential Directive PSN have seen additions from the previous year in 2026, which only included PSN Free Nutritious Meals, PSN People’s Schools, PSN Merah Putih Cooperatives, PSN Education Digitalisation, PSN Welfare Cards, PSN Affirmative Business Cards, and PSN Integrated Waste Management.
In general, PSN policies in the 2027 RKP are directed to promote quality and sustainable economic growth as well as strengthen equitable development across regions.
PSN are prioritised to improve connectivity, develop regions based on flagship potentials, and expand access to infrastructure and basic services.
New proposal PSN for 2027 are directed to strengthen economic growth and equitable development through the development of priority sectors, increased connectivity, and the provision of infrastructure and basic services.
“Their establishment is carried out selectively based on contributions to National Priorities, the development trident, and project readiness. Meanwhile, continuing PSN are focused on continuity of implementation and optimisation of cross-year project benefits,” as stated in the initial draft of the 2027 RKP document.
