Prabowo's 850kg Qurban Cow Distributed to Hundreds of Darunnajah Students
Jakarta — On the occasion of Eid al-Adha on 27 May 2026, the National Zakat Agency (LAZNAS) Darunnajah, which consolidates the Laziswaf Darunnajah movement, officially announced an extraordinary achievement in the ‘Kita Qurban Darunnajah’ program.
Director of LAZNAS Darunnajah Zakiyanto Arief said the agency successfully collected and managed a total of 41 cattle/buffalo and 432 goats/sheep from donors and benefactors.
According to sharia regulations, this translates to a total of 719 equivalent goats slaughtered this year, marking a new record as the second-highest qurban volume since the institution’s post-pandemic data collection.
He added that this year’s achievement represents a massive growth of 46% compared to 2025, indicating strong public confidence and marking the strongest philanthropy revival in the past five years under LAZNAS Darunnajah’s integrated management.
Looking at the long-term trend over 14 years, LAZNAS Darunnajah recorded an impressive cumulative growth of 119%, with a total of 7,717 qurban animals distributed throughout its history.
This consistent growth record demonstrates the unwavering dedication of all elements within the pesantren, rectorate, university, and the multi-layered loyalty of donors.
The successful management reflects the solid social capital and trust provided by Darunnajah’s inclusive partnership ecosystem, including alumni across generations, parents of students, corporate partners, and public donors.
This distribution was carried out simultaneously and integrally through strategic networks at 23 Darunnajah branch pesantrens across remote areas of the archipelago, reinforced by the involvement of the University of Darunnajah’s academic community.
Zakiyanto Arief affirmed the public accountability commitment inherent in this year’s achievements.
‘Great trust entrusted to us this year is not merely a routine spiritual transaction between donors and the agency. It is a deep Islamic brotherhood bond, which we consistently nurture on the foundation of absolute transparency, regulatory and sharia accountability, and full commitment to delivering qurban meat to the most deserving recipients nationwide,’ Zakiyanto Arief told reporters on Wednesday, 27 May 2026.
