Prabowo witnesses Liliek Prisbawono's oath as Constitutional Court Justice

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto witnessed the oath-taking of Liliek Prisbawono Adi as a Constitutional Court (MK) Justice at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday.

The appointment of Liliek Prisbawono Adi as an MK Justice is based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia (Keppres) No. 36P of 2026 on the Dismissal and Appointment of Constitutional Justices, proposed by the Supreme Court (MA).

“I swear by Allah that I will fulfil my duties as a Constitutional Court Justice to the best of my ability and as justly as possible, uphold the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and implement all laws and regulations as straightforwardly as possible in accordance with the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, and serve the nation and the people,” he stated.

The event continued with the signing of the minutes by President Prabowo and Liliek Prisbawono Adi.

Several officials were present, including Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra, and Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security Djamari Chaniago.

Also attending were State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

It is known that Liliek Prisbawono Adi replaces Constitutional Court Justice Anwar Usman, who has entered retirement.

Liliek Prisbawono Adi is one of the high court judges at the Medan High Court. The man born on 27 October 1966 has been a civil servant since 1 May 1994. He has also previously served as Chief Judge of the Central Jakarta District Court.
