Prabowo Witnesses Danantara Sign MoU with Hisense in Kertanegara
JAKARTA, investortrust.id - President Prabowo Subianto received a delegation from Hisense at his residence in Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Friday (15/5/2026).
The meeting was part of an effort to strengthen investment cooperation and strategic partnerships between Indonesia and global industry players. Hisense is known as a leading global electronics and home appliance company from China.
Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi said that during the meeting, Prabowo witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the Badan Pengelola Investasi Daya Anagata Nusantara (Danantara) and Hisense.
“During the meeting, President Prabowo witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Badan Pengelola Investasi Danantara and Hisense. The MoU is an initial step in exploring cooperation in the field of technology,” said Minister Pras, as Prasetyo Hadi is known, in a statement on Saturday (16/5/2026).
The MoU was signed by the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming and CEO of BPI Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, CTO of Danantara, Sigit Puji Santosa, and Chairman of Hisense Group, Jia Shaoqian, and was witnessed directly by President Prabowo along with a number of members of the Merah Putih Cabinet.
In addition to Mensesneg Prasetyo Hadi and Rosan Roeslani, those who also attended the meeting included the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Sugiono, the Minister of Defense (Menhan) Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Mendiktisaintek) Brian Yuliarto, and the Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Wamentan) Sudaryono.
“The meeting took place in a warm and productive atmosphere. President Prabowo welcomed Hisense’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Indonesia, especially in supporting the national development agenda, increasing investment, and strengthening the domestic industrial ecosystem,” said Minister Pras.
This cooperation is expected to be part of the government’s efforts to attract quality investment, encourage technology transfer, create jobs, and strengthen Indonesia’s competitiveness in the strategic industrial sector.
Through the signing of the MoU, Indonesia and Hisense reaffirmed their initial commitment to building a mutually beneficial and long-term oriented partnership.
