Prabowo Wishes Jokowi a Happy Birthday

President Prabowo Subianto conveyed birthday wishes to the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo (Jokowi), who turned 65 on Sunday (21/6). The greeting was delivered by Prabowo through an Instagram Story post on his official account, @prabowo. In the post, Prabowo shared a black-and-white poster depicting Jokowi wearing a peci and suit, with a salute gesture. “Happy birthday to the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. H. Joko Widodo. Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia,” read the post as seen on Sunday (21/6/2026). The post featured an illustration of Jokowi in monochrome tones. Jokowi was shown facing sideways while raising his right hand in a salute. The message from Prabowo was one of the greetings conveyed to Jokowi on his birthday. Jokowi was born in Surakarta, Central Java, on 21 June 1961. Jokowi served as President of the Republic of Indonesia for two terms, from 2014 to 2019 and from 2019 to 2024. In the 2024 presidential election, Prabowo was elected president and subsequently succeeded Jokowi as head of state. Before becoming president, Jokowi served as Mayor of Solo and Governor of Jakarta. He then ran in the 2014 presidential election and was elected as President of the Republic of Indonesia alongside Jusuf Kalla. Jokowi ran again in the 2019 presidential election, paired with Ma’ruf Amin, and was elected for a second term. Jokowi’s tenure as President of the Republic of Indonesia ended in 2024.
