Prabowo welcomes Indonesia-Thailand private sector investment cooperation

President Prabowo Subianto welcomed cooperation and investment commitments from the private sectors of Indonesia and Thailand, marked by the signing of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) in the fields of tourism and organic waste processing.

“We welcome the cooperation and investment commitments from the private sector, namely the MoU between the Tourism Authority of Thailand and TransNusa in tourism and connectivity, as well as the MoU between Bioaxel and Pro Consilium related to the organic waste processing project,” said Prabowo during a joint press statement with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday.

Prabowo said private sector involvement is an important part of strengthening the strategic partnership between Indonesia and Thailand.

According to the President, the cooperation is expected to expand connectivity, increase tourist flows, and encourage investment in sectors that support sustainable development.

In addition to cooperation between business players, the bilateral meeting between the two leaders produced a number of agreements to strengthen Indonesia-Thailand relations.

One of these was the adoption of the Indonesia-Thailand Strategic Partnership Roadmap 2026–2030, which will serve as a joint guide for deepening bilateral cooperation in various fields.

“Today’s meeting also produced a number of concrete achievements, namely the adoption of the Indonesia-Thailand Strategic Partnership Roadmap 2026–2030 as a joint guide for strengthening bilateral cooperation going forward,” said Prabowo.

The two countries also signed a memorandum of understanding in the field of education as an effort to strengthen human resource development cooperation through various collaborative education programmes.

“The signing of the MoU in education is to strengthen human resource development cooperation between the two countries,” said Prabowo.
