Prabowo Welcomes Indonesia-Thailand Private Sector Investment Cooperation

President Prabowo Subianto has welcomed private sector cooperation and investment commitments between Indonesia and Thailand, marked by the signing of several memoranda of understanding (MoU) in the fields of tourism and organic waste processing.

“We welcome the commitment to cooperation and investment from the private sector, namely the MoU between the Tourism Authority of Thailand and TransNusa in the field of tourism and connectivity, as well as the MoU between Bioaxel and Pro Consilium regarding an organic waste processing project,” said Prabowo during a joint press statement with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday.

Prabowo stated that private sector involvement is an important part of strengthening the strategic partnership between Indonesia and Thailand.

Beyond business-to-business cooperation, the bilateral meeting between the two leaders produced a number of agreements to strengthen Indonesia-Thailand relations. One of these was the adoption of the Indonesia-Thailand Strategic Partnership Roadmap 2026–2030, which will serve as a joint guideline for deepening bilateral cooperation across various fields.

“Today’s meeting also produced several concrete achievements, namely the adoption of the Indonesia-Thailand Strategic Partnership Roadmap 2026–2030 as a joint guide to strengthen bilateral cooperation going forward,” said Prabowo.

“The signing of an MoU in the field of education to strengthen cooperation on human resource development between the two countries,” Prabowo added.
