Prabowo Welcomed by Vice President Gibran Following France Visit
Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Indonesia on Saturday (30 May following a state visit to France. His arrival was welcomed by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Indonesian National Military Jenderal Tandyo Budi Revita, and Garuda Indonesia’s CEO Glenny Kairupan. After greeting all present, Prabowo immediately boarded his white car.
Previously, he met French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday (28 May) for a bilateral discussion on strategic issues including defence, clean energy, education, and research. One of the key topics was the implementation of the Indonesia-European Union Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IEU-CEPA). This marks Prabowo’s third visit to France this year, with Prabowo stating that Indonesia-France relations are currently at their strongest point in history.
