Prabowo Welcomed by South Korean President Lee Jae Myung at the Blue House

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto was welcomed by South Korean President Lee Jae Myung upon his arrival at the Blue House in South Korea on Wednesday around 10.30 local time. Monitored via the live broadcast of the Presidential Secretariat from Jakarta on Wednesday, President Lee Jae Myung was waiting right in front of the Blue House door when the vehicle carrying Prabowo arrived. The two immediately shook hands and embraced each other. President Prabowo and President Lee Jae Myung then walked together to witness the welcome ceremony. The South Korean national anthem was subsequently played. Following that, the Indonesian national anthem Indonesia Raya was also sung. The two heads of state then walked around the South Korean troops. President Lee Jae Myung introduced his ministers one by one. The same was done by President Prabowo, who during this visit introduced Foreign Minister Sugiono, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia. Subsequently, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming as well as CEO of Danantara Indonesia Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to South Korea Cecep Herawan were also introduced. President Prabowo and President Lee Jae Myung, along with their entourage, then re-entered the Blue House. During his stay in Seoul, President Prabowo is scheduled to undertake a series of state visits. This visit is expected to further strengthen the friendship and strategic partnership between Indonesia and South Korea, as well as open up broader and mutually beneficial cooperation opportunities in the future.
