Prabowo Warns Errant MBG Partners: Confess Quickly to Avoid Sanctions

Prabowo Subianto addressed the MBG Programme consolidation meeting at the Sentul International Convention Centre (SICC), Bogor Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (3/6/2026). The event was attended by 12,173 participants, including Heads of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Offices (KPPG), Regional Coordinators (Koreg) of SPPG from across Indonesia, Regional Coordinators (Korwil), Heads of SPPG, and MBG programme implementing partners.

During the session, Prabowo noted reports regarding 5,000 partners in attendance. He proceeded to distinguish between good and bad MBG partners, asking those who considered themselves honest to raise their hands. After the ‘good’ partners identified themselves, he jokingly asked the ‘bad’ partners to raise their hands, noting that no one was willing to admit to being problematic, which drew laughter from the audience.

However, the President followed this with a serious warning to MBG providers who fail to operate according to established regulations. He demanded that those involved improve their practices immediately to avoid legal or administrative action. “Brothers and sisters, even if you are a bad partner and do not want to admit it, I am giving you an opportunity. Return to the right path. Return to the right path, and if you report yourselves quickly and confess, God willing, you will be safe,” he added.
