Prabowo Wants Indonesia to Set Its Own Prices for CPO, Gold, and Nickel

Jakarta, KOMPAS.com – President Prabowo Subianto stated that Indonesia will determine its own prices for crude palm oil (CPO), gold, nickel, and other mining commodities. Prabowo questioned Indonesia’s position as the world’s largest producer of palm oil, while the prices of these commodities were still determined by other countries. The directive was delivered by Prabowo in a speech to the 19th Plenary Session of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) regarding the Macro Economic Framework (KEM) and the Core Policy of Fiscal Policy (PPKF) of the Draft State Budget (RAPBN) for Fiscal Year 2027.
