Prabowo Vows to Strengthen Indonesia, Vows to Stop Exploitation of its Resources

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto affirmed that Indonesia is not a weak, soft, or defeated nation, but a strong one. He stated that Indonesia’s wealth should no longer be continuously exploited.

He conveyed this during the inauguration of 1,061 Merah Putih Village/Urban Cooperatives (KDMP/KKMP) in Nganjuk Regency, Saturday (16/5/2026).

According to him, this inauguration marks a historical milestone and demonstrates Indonesia’s ability to prepare for food security. All of these KDMPs were established within a period of just seven months.

Therefore, Prabowo invited the public to work together to build Indonesia. He stated that his presence with the people is a form of accountability.

“Brothers and sisters, if the Indonesian nation truly wants to, if it truly cooperates, the Indonesian nation is not a weak nation, not a defeated nation, but a strong nation! That is my belief. And today I am here with all of you, this is our accountability to the nation and our people,” Prabowo said in a broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat, Saturday (16/5/2026).

He exclaimed that he no longer wants Indonesia’s wealth to be continuously exploited. Therefore, Prabowo warned those who “defend thieves” that they will face the entire Indonesian people.

“Those who want to stand with the people, please join me, those who want to defend the thieves, go ahead, you will face the entire Indonesian people. I am sure of that!” Prabowo asserted.
