Prabowo Vows Firm Action Against Corruption in Free Nutritious Meal Programme

President Prabowo Subianto has spoken candidly about corruption related to the management of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme at the National Nutrition Agency. He acknowledged that there have been shortcomings, misappropriations, and irregularities.

“But we will act immediately, we will fix it immediately. We are saddened that there are individuals, there are persons who want to seek wealth from a task or an effort that is so great, so noble for the people,” Prabowo said during a briefing at a Plenary Cabinet Session at the State Palace in Central Jakarta on Monday.

However, according to the head of state, this is a disease that must be faced. “It is with sadness that we take action, and we will continue to take action. Once again, I have said many times, believe me, we will not, we will not play favourites, we will not fail to act against misappropriation,” Prabowo stated.
