President Prabowo Subianto conducted a surprise visit to the railway embankment area near Senen Station in Central Jakarta on Thursday (26/3/2026) to listen to the people’s aspirations. Dressed casually in a blue shirt and brown cap, Prabowo greeted residents while walking along the rundown embankment. He was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and Presidential Secretary Rizki Irmansyah. The on-site conditions revealed rubbish scattered along the roadside, with tents and makeshift shelters erected against walls near the tracks. “This afternoon, I walked through the settlements along the railway tracks in the Senen area, Central Jakarta. It is located about 3 kilometres from the centre of Jakarta,” Prabowo stated, as quoted from his Instagram account on Thursday (26/3/2026). Residents who spotted Prabowo immediately approached him to shake hands and request selfies. During the visit, Prabowo listened to the residents’ complaints. Trains occasionally passed by as Prabowo interacted with the community. “Listening to the people’s aspirations there, God willing, we will soon build decent housing for the residents in that area quickly, and it has become my determination to provide decent housing for the Indonesian people,” Prabowo wrote.
