Prabowo visits grandfather's grave, Banyumas residents enthusiastic

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto made a pilgrimage to the grave of his grandfather, Margono Djojohadikusumo, in the Dawuhan Cemetery Complex, Banyumas, Central Java, on Tuesday. The Government Communication Agency, in an official statement in Jakarta, noted that President Prabowo’s arrival had long been anticipated by the residents, who lined up neatly along the cemetery area to see the President in person. With a warm smile, Prabowo approached and took the time to greet the residents. He shook hands one by one and received prayers and support from the community. “Pak Prabowo, salim, Pak. Stay healthy always, Pak!” exclaimed the enthusiastic residents. Margono Djojohadikusumo is known as an important national figure. He was one of the founders of Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) and a person who made great contributions to national economic development. Prabowo’s presence for the pilgrimage serves as a form of respect to the family as well as appreciation for the services of the nation’s predecessors. In addition to his grandfather, Prabowo’s grandmother, R.A. Siti Katoemi Wirodihardjo, is also buried in the same complex. This pilgrimage was carried out by Prabowo after his working visit to inspect the Integrated Waste Processing Site (TPST) BLE in Kalibagor on Tuesday afternoon.
