Prabowo Urges Young Civil Servants to Strengthen Governance

President Prabowo Subianto has urged the Young Civil Servants of IPDN’s 33rd Cohort of 2026 to build a government that is strong, clean, and pro-people. He stated that a solid government is key to preventing Indonesia from being easily divided by other parties. The Head of State made these remarks during the inauguration ceremony for the Young Civil Servants at the IPDN Campus in Jatinangor, Sumedang Regency, West Java, on Wednesday (29/7). He emphasised that Indonesia needs an apparatus capable of strengthening the government from within. According to him, a strong nation can only be built through a government that is excellent, efficient, disciplined, free from corruption, patriotic, and always prioritises the people’s interests. ‘For a country to be strong and successful, it requires a domestic government that is excellent, efficient, disciplined, and most importantly, a domestic government that is not corrupt, that loves the homeland, and that prioritises the people’s interests above all else,’ he said. Prabowo noted that history shows a country with a strong government can achieve prosperity and welfare for its people. He reminded the audience that Indonesia is a very wealthy nation, which has made it a target for other nations for hundreds of years. One method used to control Indonesia, he said, is the politics of divide and rule. ‘Many of our leaders were pitted against each other for hundreds of years. Divide et impera, divide and rule. That is their law. That is their science. Divide et impera, divide and rule. Divide between tribes, divide between religions, divide between races, divide between ethnic groups, divide between factions,’ he concluded.
