The event included representatives from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin), several ministers, and officials from state-owned enterprises.

President Prabowo highlighted government priority programmes, including 18 downstream projects aimed at boosting industrial capacity and economic growth.

He outlined Indonesia’s stability across economic and political sectors, progress toward clean governance, and strengthened law enforcement to combat corruption and cartels.

“We need investment and we want more investment. We are competitive, attractive, and have abundant mineral reserves for new technologies,” Prabowo said. “So, please come to Indonesia, thank you.”

Speaking for about 45 minutes, Prabowo discussed the soon-to-be-signed Indonesia-US reciprocal trade agreement, investor-friendly reforms, and opportunities in energy and mineral resources, including rare earth reserves.

He also shared achievements from his first year in office and emphasised the government’s priority programmes for sustainable development.

Prabowo stressed Indonesia’s commitment to being a welcoming host for investors, pledging to protect investments and maintain a favourable business climate.

“I believe many longtime participants in our economy will recognise that we strive to protect investors and continue Indonesia’s tradition of hosting them well,” he said.
