Prabowo Urges Officials and SOE Heads to Read Book on Indonesia's Paradox
President Prabowo Subianto believes that the current situation is part of long-standing predictions. This has already been written in the book “Paradoks Indonesia,” which focuses on energy, food, and water resilience.
Prabowo wrote the book based on his experience as a political leader and economic actor over a long period.
“Food, energy, and water have already been championed by the UN, and I have advocated for them everywhere for years—over a decade—and I have proven it,” Prabowo stated during the Presidential Briefing at the Working Meeting of the Government with Members of the Red and White Cabinet at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/4/2026).
Prabowo requested that the book be distributed to the ranks of ministers, echelon I ministry officials, regional leaders, and state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
“Have my books from the past few decades been distributed to officials or not? This is proof that for several decades, in black and white, the basic problems for the country are those three things,” he explained.
Regarding these issues, according to Prabowo, various policies have already been launched and successfully addressed in the last 1.5 years.
“Alhamdulillah, our country does not actually have a water problem. Sometimes the problem is that we have too much water; we laugh about this excess water as a blessing. One day of rain in Bogor equals one year of rainfall in Western Australia,” he concluded.
