Prabowo Urges KAI to Boost Railway Investment

President Prabowo Subianto has instructed PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) to increase investment in the railway sector, including enhancing safety at level crossings. He conveyed this message during the inauguration of the first phase of the renovation of the Stasiun Semarang Tawang cultural heritage building in Semarang, Central Java, on Thursday. The President noted that there are still thousands of railway crossings that need to be equipped with adequate and automatic gates to reduce the risk of accidents. He stressed that investment in the railway sector must continue to be increased because trains play a significant role in modern national life. Prabowo stated that the railway is an economical logistics instrument as well as a facility that provides benefits to the wider community, especially low-income groups.
