Prabowo Urges IPDN Graduates to Serve the People Without Arrogance

Jatinangor, VIVA – President Prabowo Subianto has asked newly appointed civil administrators to carry out their duties as servants of the people with humility, prioritising the public interest and avoiding arrogance in delivering public services.

While delivering his address at the inauguration of the 33rd Class of Young Civil Administrators at the Institute of Domestic Governance (IPDN) campus in Sumedang, West Java, on Wednesday, 29 July 2026, Prabowo said civil administrators must be leaders who are present when the people face hardship.

“You must become a pillar of support and leadership for the community,” he said.

According to the President, the honour of a state official is not determined by rank or position, but by the benefit they bring to the community.

“You are servants of the people. You must serve, protect and shelter the community, shelter the Indonesian people as best you can,” he said.

Prabowo emphasised that the people need officials who are honest, disciplined, clean and free from corruption, and who always put the public interest above personal or group interests.

He also asked the young civil administrators to remain close to the people and to make the public interest the basis of every decision they take.

The President asked the civil administrators to choose policies that benefit the community, especially the weak, the poor and the vulnerable.

“Work with heart and without arrogance. Always stay close to the people. Always defend your people,” said Prabowo.

On the occasion, the President inaugurated 1,204 young civil administrators, comprising 728 men and 476 women, who will be posted to central and regional government agencies across Indonesia.

Ten of the best-performing graduates recorded the highest GPA of 3.84 and the lowest at 3.78. (Ant)
