President Prabowo Subianto has delivered a direct message to corruptors. The message was conveyed by Prabowo during an event for the handover of administrative fines, the recovery of state finances, and the reclamation of forest areas (Phase VIII) held at the Attorney General’s Office Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday (6/10/2026).

“It is better that you cleanse yourselves, discipline yourselves, confess your sins, and report quickly so that you can become a justice collaborator. Right? ‘Sir, I apologise, I was weak in my faith previously, but I have realised my mistake. Here, I am returning the proceeds of my corruption’,” he said.

According to Prabramo, such a step could mitigate the criminal penalties for the corruption committed by perpetrators.

“If that happens, all elements, including judges, will have mitigating factors in their decisions—that the individual has realised their mistake, cooperated, acted as a justice collaborator, and returned part of the corrupted funds out of love for the people and the nation of Indonesia, and is willing to expose others. This is important,” he stated.

By doing so, Prabowo continued, lost assets could be recovered, and individuals would not need to be pursued by the 12 ministries and agencies comprising the PKH Task Force.

“However, if you want to play tactical games, engage in silent resistance, or use ‘deep state’ tactics—pretending to comply while obstructing or sabotaging from within—we are not foolish. I am exercising restraint and providing a sense of calm, but I believe we are at a stage where we are no longer willing to make too many compromises,” said Prabowo.
