Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto has urged the public to record on their mobile phones any actions by state officials that do not comply with regulations and to report them directly to him. Speaking during the delivery of the Macro-Economic Framework and the Main Policies of Fiscal Policy (KEM-PPKF) at the 19th Plenary Session of the DPR RI in Jakarta on Wednesday, he said it is not uncommon for officials to be involved in corruption. ‘Our people are already equipped with gadgets; if there is misconduct by an official, I want the people to video it, directly. Do not resist, just video and report to me,’ Prabowo said. He also ordered all ministers and heads of agencies in the Red-and-White Cabinet to cleanse their institutions of corruption that hinders Indonesia’s economic progress. ‘Do not hesitate. Those who violate, take action. Again, all government institutions must work well. We must eradicate corruption, abuse of authority, and practices that obstruct our economy’s progress,’ he added. Because one bad apple spoils the barrel, Prabowo subsequently called for firm action if officials are proven to have committed corruption. Regarding oversight, he urged central and local officials, from the provincial level down to the regencies and cities, to carry out internal clean-ups. Previously, Prabowo had delivered to the DPR what was described as the macro-economic framework and the main policy of fiscal policy (KEM-PPKF) for the RAPBN 2027 during the 19th Plenary Session of the DPR RI for the 2025-2026 Session Year. He thus became the first President of the Republic of Indonesia to present the RAPBN preface, which includes the macro-economic framework and the main policy of fiscal policy, to the DPR. The plenary today discussed three main agendas: the government’s delivery of the KEM-PPKF for RAPBN 2027; the Legislation Body’s report on the evaluation of the second amendment to the 2026 Prolegnas Priority List, followed by a decision; and the factions’ views on a Commission III-initiated Bill concerning amendments to Law No. 2 of 2002 on the Indonesian National Police, followed by a decision to move the Bill as a DPR-proposed law.
