Prabowo Urges Attorney General, KPK Chair, and BPKP Head: Tell Me What You Need, and I Will Provide It

President Prabowo Subianto has emphasised that his administration is serious about eradicating state financial leakages. Prabowo is pushing for the strengthening of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), and the Attorney General’s Office (Kejagung) to address issues regarding the loss of state funds.

This was stated by Prabowo during a consolidation meeting for the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme at the Sentul International Convention Centre (SICC), Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday (3/6/2026). Prabowo directly addressed the Head of BPKP, Muhammad Yusuf Ateh, the Chair of the KPK, Setyo Budiyanto, and the Attorney General, ST Burhanuddin, urging them to report any requirements for institutional strengthening to him.

“If you feel you can be smarter than the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), then just try it. Head of BPKP, whatever you need—if you need additional personnel, however many you need, I will provide it,” said Prablamo.

Upon being addressed by Prabowo, Yusuf Ateh rose from his seat and showed a gesture of respect upon hearing the directive.

Prabowo then called upon Setyo Budiyanto, promising to meet all necessary requirements for strengthening the KPK. “Chair of the KPK, whatever you need, report it to me and I will fulfil it,” he stated.

Subsequently, Prabowo addressed ST Burhanuddin with a similar sentiment. He also invited the Attorney General to utilise state revenues derived from corruption criminal acts to strengthen his institution. “Attorney General, whatever you need, I will provide. If you want to set aside several trillion to report to me, use it to strengthen the Attorney General’s Office,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo reaffirmed that his government will continue to bolster law enforcement agencies. The Chairman of the Gerindra Party emphasised that he will not allow state financial leakages to persist during his leadership. “BPKP, KPK, all law enforcement must be strengthened. Because I do not want the NKRI to be insulted. I do not want the Government of the Republic of Indonesia to be disrespected. I do not want the people’s money to be stolen. I do not want the people’s money to be stolen,” Prabowo declared, met with loud applause from the attendees.

The event was attended by 12,173 participants, including Heads of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Offices (KPPG), Regional Coordinators of Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) from across Indonesia, Regional Coordinators (Korwil), Heads of SPPG, and partners implementing the MBG Programme.
