Prabowo to Young Officers: Do Not Be Tempted by Corruption

President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has reminded young TNI-Polri officers to maintain their integrity.

He conveyed this in his address at the Prasetya Perwira (Praspa) ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday (22/7).

“Integrity is an officer’s honour. Never abuse your position, never be tempted by corruption or misappropriation,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo stated that the TNI and Polri are vital institutions for the nation and state.

He also reminded all young officers to work professionally and serve the people.

“Never compromise with drugs, gambling, or any other violations of the law. The moment you betray the people is the moment you lose your honour,” he said.

On this day, Prabowo commissioned 1,177 graduates of the military and police academies as TNI-Polri officers in the Prasetya Perwira (Praspa) ceremony.

Of the total officers, 512 came from the Military Academy, 229 from the Naval Academy, 154 from the Air Force Academy, and 282 from the Police Academy.

Prabowo also presented the Adhi Makayasa award to the best graduate from each academy.

The award was received by Calvin Tidar Sakti (Military Academy), Muhammad Rizqi Wira Utama Baihaqi Putra (Naval Academy), Yehezkiel Bonaventura Yudaniarman (Air Force Academy), and Harindra Arsandho Tegarbaja (Police Academy).
