President Prabowo Subianto delivered a message of encouragement to the students and prospective students of Sekolah Rakyat Menengah Pertama (SRMP) 17 in Tabanan, Bali. He urged the students to study with enthusiasm in order to elevate their parents’ status.

“Students, study well, study hard, and study with discipline. Obey your teachers, and always love your parents. Your parents work hard for you. Whatever their occupation, it is noble. You must uplift your parents in the future. You are your parents’ hope,” said Prabowo at SRMP 17, Tabanan, Bali, on Sunday (7/6/2026).

Prabowo also expressed his hope that students would always respect their teachers and maintain good relationships with one another. He requested that students maintain good manners and refrain from disparaging others.

“Study, study, study well. Respect your teachers, love your parents, always be harmonious with your friends, always be kind to others, and maintain politeness. Never disparage others, and do not hate others. That is it. Live well and in harmony. That is the key to success,” he stated.

He subsequently commended one of the students at SRMP 17, Gede Bagus Abimanyu, who has risen above being a victim of bullying. Prabowo remarked that he himself has faced bullying even after becoming president.

“Not just you, I am often mocked, even now. Even a president is often mocked, and that is alright,” he said.

Prabowo advised the students not to repay evil with evil. He noted that the more one is insulted, the stronger one’s spirit should become, rather than becoming disheartened.

“The important thing is that your heart remains firm. Our hearts must be good. If we are mocked, we respond with politeness. The more you are insulted, the firmer, the braver, and the more polite you should be. Be polite when insulted. Do not be disheartened,” he concluded.
