President Prabowo Subianto is set to serve as the inspector of the ceremony for the 80th Bhayangkara Anniversary at the Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) training facility in Cikeas, Bogor, on Wednesday (1/7). Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, along with ministers, heads of agencies, and other invited guests, are also scheduled to attend.

Head of the Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, stated that the event will be led by President Prabowo as the ceremony inspector and will involve a parade and participants from all elements of society. He explained that the decision to hold the ceremony at the Brimob training facility in Cikeas, rather than the usual location at Monas in Central Jakarta, was made to openly represent the police force’s commitment to education and training. The venue symbolises the process of instilling values and character to improve the quality of human resources, which serves as the foundation for professional and modern policing in the midst of the community.

The peak celebration will feature a ceremonial parade, the conferment of honours, demonstrations, a march-past, and a thanksgiving event. There will also be an exhibition of domestically produced police special equipment and the distribution of social assistance to the community. A total of 9,000 participants, comprising police personnel, military personnel, and community members, will be involved in the peak event. The series of activities for the anniversary, which began in May, has included community service, visits, interfaith prayers, sports competitions, and a wayang puppet show, all aimed at reinforcing the police force’s dedication to providing the best service and devotion to the public.
