President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to attend and lead the 80th Bhayangkara Day commemoration ceremony. The event will be held at the Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) Training Centre in Cikeas, Bogor, on Wednesday, 1 July 2026. National Police spokesperson Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir confirmed that President Prabowo will act as the Inspector of the Ceremony. Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka and ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet are also scheduled to attend. Isir explained that the Cikeas Brimob Training Centre was chosen because it symbolically represents the process of character building for police personnel. He stated that the location allows the public to see that every police task involves education, training, and the formation of values and character, symbolising the improvement of human resources as the foundation for professional and modern police services. The commemoration, themed ‘80 Years of Police Service to the Community’, will involve approximately 9,000 participants from the police, military, and community groups. The event will include the awarding of honours, a parade, a thanksgiving ceremony, and an expo of domestically produced special equipment and weaponry. The police have also conducted a series of social service, health, sports, and interfaith prayer activities throughout May and June 2026.
