Prabowo to Perform Eid Prayers in Aceh Tamiang While Checking Post-Flood Disaster Response

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to perform Eid al-Fitr prayers in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh, while also checking the post-flood disaster response in the region. “So tomorrow morning, we will all fly to Aceh, perform Eid prayers there with the people of Aceh in particular. Then, at the same time, check as well,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy in Medan, North Sumatra, on Friday. Teddy explained that President Prabowo will perform Eid prayers at a location near the shelters occupied by disaster-affected evacuees. Several ministers, including Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian and Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo, are already in Aceh Tamiang to later provide reports to President Prabowo on the latest developments in the post-flood disaster handling. On that occasion, President Prabowo will also distribute aid packages of basic necessities to the local community. It is known that President Prabowo spent the takbiran night in Medan, North Sumatra.
