Prabowo to MBG Leaders: If You Don’t Work Well & Remain Loyal, Step Aside!
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Prabowo Subianto issued a stern warning to leaders of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG), particularly to kitchen heads and field supervisors.
In his address at the Building Indonesia’s Future Generations Through Nutrition event at SICC, Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday (3/6/2026), Prabowo asked the heads of the Nutritional Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) to carry out their supervisory duties with full responsibility.
The event was attended by 12,173 participants, including Heads of Nutritional Fulfillment Service Offices (KPPG), Regional Coordinators (Koreg) of the Nutritional Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG) from across Indonesia, Regional Coordinators (Korwil), Heads of SPPG, and implementing partners of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG).
“SPPI kitchen heads, you are responsible for supervising. Don’t get involved in frivolous activities. Don’t take it lightly. My eyes and ears are everywhere,” said Prabowo.
Prabowo emphasised that the MBG program is a noble undertaking aimed at improving the nutritional quality of Indonesian children. Therefore, he asked all parties involved to carry out their duties seriously for the success of the program.
According to him, the MBG leaders play an important role in the implementation of the program. However, he is not hesitant to replace them if they do not show good performance.
“You are an important part, but if you don’t want to work well, you have to step aside. We will find new young people,” said Prabowo.
The President also stressed the importance of loyalty and dedication in carrying out the state’s mandate. He reminded that the interests of the people must be placed above all other interests.
“If you don’t work well, if you’re not serious, if you’re not loyal, then step aside. What is important is that the interests of the people are above all interests,” he said.
