Prabowo to Inaugurate University Leadership and New National Nutrition Agency Head

President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to inaugurate the leadership of the Republic of Indonesia University Institute at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Wednesday afternoon. The inauguration is part of the government’s strategic move to strengthen national education institutions.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed that the ceremony would take place around 3 p.m. Western Indonesia Time. In addition to the education institution’s leadership, the President will also inaugurate the new Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).

‘This afternoon, one official will also be inaugurated, namely the head of the Republic of Indonesia University Institute,’ Prasetyo said at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Prasetyo explained that the establishment of leadership for this institution aims to prepare future national leaders. This step aligns with President Prabowo’s vision, which emphasises the importance of strengthening educational institutions to produce excellent human resources. The prospective leaders trained through this institution are being prepared to fill various strategic positions, including placements within the civil service (ASN), government agencies, and state-owned enterprises (BUMN).

Alongside this agenda, President Prabowo will also inaugurate Sudaryono as the definitive Head of BGN. Sudaryono, who previously served as Deputy Minister of Agriculture, replaces Nanik S. Deyang, who resigned due to health reasons. Sudaryono’s appointment is based on his early involvement in drafting the technical concept for the Free Nutritious Meals Programme. His experience in the agricultural sector is considered a strong asset for leading the agency. With this inauguration, Sudaryono will automatically relinquish his position as Deputy Minister of Agriculture. ‘So, there will be two officials inaugurated this afternoon,’ Prasetyo concluded.
