Prabowo to Inaugurate National Electric Motorcycle Ecosystem Today

President Prabowo Subianto will inaugurate the National Electric Motorcycle (Molinas) ecosystem at the production facility of PT Ilectra Motor Group (ALVA) in Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java. The inauguration marks an acceleration in the integration of the battery-based electric vehicle industry in the country.

“Molinas will be developed as a national ecosystem, not merely the launch of a single brand or vehicle model,” said Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi in a written statement on Thursday (13/8/2026).

The ecosystem will encompass industrial and manufacturing development, components and batteries, charging and battery swapping infrastructure, financing, distribution, after-sales services, and strengthening market absorption. PT Len Industri will serve as the lead integrator to orchestrate collaboration among stakeholders in developing the ecosystem.

“The development of this ecosystem is expected to strengthen industrial downstreaming, increase domestic manufacturing capacity and supply chains, and open opportunities for job creation as well as the involvement of MSMEs and cooperatives,” said Pras.

“The development of electric motorcycles will also be directed towards supporting energy security by reducing dependence on fuel oil and increasing the utilisation of electrical energy,” he continued.

During the event, Prabowo will also inspect the production and exhibition facilities, receive reports on developments, and deliver directives.

“After the inauguration, the important thing is to ensure that industrial development, supply chains, infrastructure, financing, and market absorption can proceed in an integrated and sustainable manner,” said Pras.
