Prabowo to Inaugurate Military and Police Academy Cadets at Palace Tomorrow Morning

President Prabowo Subianto will lead the 2026 TNI-Polri Prasetya Perwira inauguration ceremony at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday morning. Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed the event is scheduled for 8:00 AM. Prasetyo stated that the number of officer candidates to be inaugurated this year is estimated at around 1,500, though he noted the figure could change due to adjustments in the number of cadets. In 2025, Prabowo presided over the same ceremony at Merdeka Palace, commissioning 2,000 officer candidates, including 827 from the Military Academy, 433 from the Naval Academy, 293 from the Air Force Academy, and 447 from the Police Academy. During that ceremony, Prabowo urged the newly commissioned officers to always serve as soldiers and police of the people, to defend the people’s interests, and to remember they are the sons and daughters of the Indonesian people.
